Community Yoga Schedule until Sat 10/28

Dear Vertex Community, until we are able to reopen our doors to the public, Sports Basement Santa Rosa will be opening their space not only for Vertex member but to the whole community affected by the fires. The yoga schedule led by our experienced instructor João offers all-level classes, open to the community and free of charge. Please help spread the word.

Tuesdays & Thursdays – 5-6pm
Saturdays – 10-11:30am
Wednesdays – 12-1:30pm (AcroYoga)

Our wellness classes feature hatha yoga sessions and the unique Breath 101, a useful class taught partly on the mat, partly on the wall. Our head instructor João has 14 years of teaching experience and will tailor his instruction to your specific needs and goals.


These classes offer an eclectic and in-depth approach to Yoga that emphasize detailed breath work in coordination with poses, or asana. Whether flowing between each one or holding them, a lot of focus is given to alignment and body awareness. Concentration and meditation techniques that will help you face challenges on and off the wall are taught in a simple fashion in order to make them easy to apply to your daily routine. You might even be challenged with playful partner acrobatics (acroyoga) drills at times, or restore deeply with a guided relaxation practice.
