Vertex Youth Programs
We offer a variety of experiences for kids interested in an alternative to traditional sports. Our programs focus on building confidence, motivation, trust and both physical and mental fitness. Our experienced coaches provide a fun and supportive environment, promoting a healthy lifestyle and the importance of respecting ourselves, others, and the world around us.
Ages 7-9 – Mini Monkeys
Mini Monkeys is perfect for beginner climbers. It’s a fun and exciting introduction to climbing’s vertical world. Through climbing related games and activities the participants of this program will gain focus and confidence while developing their teamwork and problem solving skills. Our high instructor-to-climber ratio provides a quality environment for these little monkeys to burn off energy in a supportive and fun environment.
Group 1: Monday 2:30-4 pm
Group 2: Monday 4–5:30 pm
Group 3: Wednesday 2:30-4 pm
Group 4: Thursday 3:30-5pm
Group 5: Sunday 11am-12:30pm & 4–5:30 pm
$155/month.

Ages 10-17 – Young Climber’s Club
This program is open to young climbers of all abilities who want an instructional environment that will help them reach their personal climbing goals. This non-competitive program will give each climber the opportunity to learn and develop climbing technique while improving their physical and mental strength.
Group 1: Wednesday 4–5:30 pm
Group 2: Saturday 2:30–4 pm
Group 3: Saturday 4–5:30 pm
Group 4: Sunday 2:30–4:00 pm
Group 5: Monday 5:30-7 pm
Group 6: Wednesday 5:30-7 pm
$155/month or $1,705/year.

Ages 10-17 – Young Climber’s Club PLUS
YCC PLUS is a targeted 5-week course to offer your child the tools they need to take their climbing progression to the next level. This program is perfect for the kid who feels like they’ve gotten as far as they can on their own and is looking for extra guidance. They’ve been working hard to build up a solid foundation, and now we can build upon that!
The staff running this course is very advanced and we keep the ratio 3:1 kids to instructor to ensure that every kid gets a lot of attention.
Structure:
- We start each class with a structured warm-up where we really break down fundamentals and focus on specific techniques. The coaches will guide you thoughtfully through that warm-up.
- Then we will move into the main theme of the day where we will teach them something new. (For example, SLOPERS as a hold type. What kinda techniques help you grab them, what body positions are helpful for navigating them etc…)
- Then we will practice these techniques together as a group with coach support.
- We will conclude with a climbing homework assignment we will explain to them at the end of class that they are expected to do on their own time.
