Scout Group Climbing

Welcome scouts! Here at Vertex we’re happy to offer a number of options for you and your troop to engage in climbing with us! From group climbing experiences to comprehensive merit badge programs, we have something for scouts of all kinds. All of our programs designed to earn your scouts their merit badges are facilitated our Head Climbing Instructor as well as a certified Merit Badge Councilor. Our programs include an option for scouting outings to Sunset Boulders at Goat Rock for top rope climbing, bouldering, and rope skills.

Scouts Climbing Experience

For scouts that want to climb with us, or Daisy, Brownie, and Junior level Girl Scouts who want to earn their merit badges, this hour and a half experience is exactly what you’re looking for!

Climbing Only, not instructional
1.5 hours
$235 up to 6
$35 additional participants
Can include belay instructional for adults (must ask in advance, no exceptions).

Climbing Merit Badge Program

For scouts that want to earn their merit badge in an indoor environment, this comprehensive course will cover all requirements excluding first aid.

4 hours
BAS certified merit badge instructor
5 person minimum
$80 per scout

2 Day Indoor and Outdoor Merit Badge Program

For scouts that require an outdoor day or those who want an opportunity to earn their badges in nature, we offer a 2-day program that consists of one indoor and one outdoor day to cover all merit badge requirements excluding first aid (requirement #1).

Recommended for: Cadette, Senior and Ambassador Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts

$650 for both days for the first 5 people
$125 per additional
